Charmant dorpje van de Vaucluse, in de regio Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Entrechaux vindt plaats vijftig kilometer van Avignon en het pauselijk paleis.
Het ligt aan de samenvloeiing van de Ouvèze en de Toulourenc, in de buurt van Vaison-la-Romaine en Pierrelongue, aan de rand van het departement Drôme.
Bewoond sinds de prehistorie, zoals blijkt uit de overblijfselen daar gevonden, op het grondgebied van Entrechaux in eerste instantie ontwikkeld voor de oudheid,
in het bijzonder het zien van Hannibal en zijn troepen te verplaatsen in de richting van de Alpenpassen. In de loop der eeuwen heeft de stad geleidelijk aan
het huidige tempo, draaien vooral om het toerisme, maar ook de wijnbouw, met name door Ventoux wijnen (AOC).
Uitzicht op de vallei, de ruïnes van het oude middeleeuwse kasteel Entrechaux stil te staan fier, verleidelijke bezoekers sinds de tiende eeuw.
Comfortabel zittend op een rots, de site is de vernietiging ervan om het gebruik ervan als een steengroeve in de late achttiende eeuw.
Vol charme, de stad van Entrechaux heeft ook een rijk religieus erfgoed te ontdekken tijdens een verblijf in het gebied.

Een wandeling door de straten van het dorp, kunt u ook genieten van de grotten van het masker of de Romeinse brug van St. Michael en de huidige kerk Saint-Laurent-la-Neuve.
